Sporting Lisbon is standing firm on their £85m valuation of Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres. The Swedish striker, 26, who scored 43 goals in 50 outings last season, has caught the attention of Arsenal scouts. The Gunners hope to negotiate a fee of around £50m-£60m, but Sporting is not willing to sell him cheaply.

To raise funds, Sporting is prepared to sell other first-team stars, including defenders Ousmane Diomande and Goncalo Inacio. Diomande, 20, valued at £50m, has admirers at Arsenal and Manchester United. Inacio, 22, has a £52m release clause and is also being monitored by Arsenal scouts.

Arsenal’s pursuit of a summer striker was set back when Benjamin Sesko, 20, committed to Red Bull Leipzig until 2029. However, Arsenal still aims to strengthen their attack and may consider Gyokeres if they are willing to meet Sporting’s demands. Additionally, the Gunners are exploring options for depth in wide areas, with Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee, 23, and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, 21, also on their radar.
