In May, Martial declared his departure from the Red Devils after nine years with the club. Despite interest from Lyon, Marseille, and Besiktas, the Frenchman has yet to finalize his next move.

Since his arrival from Monaco as one of Europe’s most promising forwards, Martial struggled to meet expectations at United. With just 13 Premier League appearances in his final season, his club struggles have impacted his international career, with no France squad appearances since 2021. Nonetheless, his agent emphasizes Martial’s desire for an ambitious club, aiming to reclaim his spot in the France team.

Philippe Lamboley, speaking to Sky Sports, clarified that Martial, presently on vacation, is evaluating various opportunities. Contrary to rumours of financial demands, his priority is an ambitious project aligning with his sporting and family goals, though financial considerations remain secondary.

At 28, Martial understands the significance of his next career move. Options include returning to Lyon, where he began his senior career, or exploring opportunities at Marseille. Alternatively, a venture to the Super Lig with Besiktas could also appeal to him.
