Fenerbahce is reportedly interested in signing Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood, whose future is uncertain following his loan at Getafe. Greenwood, earning £75,000 a week, has drawn interest from several Premier League and foreign clubs, including Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, and Juventus.

The Turkish club’s interest comes just after Jose Mourinho took over as manager. However, Greenwood is reportedly not keen on reuniting with Mourinho, who first recognized his talent at Manchester United in 2018. Despite Mourinho’s belief in Greenwood, their reunion seems unlikely. Greenwood’s career faced turmoil after his January 2022 arrest for alleged attempted rape and assault, although charges were later dropped.

Manchester United conducted an internal review and decided Greenwood should play away from Old Trafford, leading to his successful loan at Getafe, where he scored ten goals and provided six assists in 36 appearances. United’s new minority owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, suggested a possible return for Greenwood. The 22-year-old remains under contract with United until 2025, with an option to extend, and could be sold for around £50 million.
