Arsenal has approached Girona star Viktor Tsygankov following his impressive season in Spain. The 26-year-old winger scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 30 La Liga games, helping Girona secure a surprising third-place finish and a Champions League spot. Reports from Spanish outlet AS indicate that Arsenal is the first club to make a move for Tsygankov, who joined Girona from Dynamo Kyiv in January.

His contract with Girona runs until 2027, with a release clause of £25.5 million (€30 million). Despite Girona’s desire to keep him, Arsenal is keen to sign him to bolster their squad for the Champions League next season.Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly “in love” with Tsygankov and sees him as an ideal addition, especially to provide cover for Bukayo Saka. The Gunners missed out on Mykhailo Mudryk, who joined Chelsea for £88 million, but Tsygankov’s affordable release clause and Champions League qualification give Arsenal a strong position.

Tsygankov acknowledged the interest but remains focused on his current club, stating, “All players dream big… I don’t really know what will happen. In football, anything can happen.” Arsenal is also considering other moves, including selling Eddie Nketiah to pave the way for Benjamin Sesko.
