Simone Inzaghi is poised to soon formalize a fresh multi-year agreement with Inter as discussions between his agent, Tullio Tinti, and president Beppe Marotta are underway to iron out the specifics.

Since his arrival in the summer of 2021, the 48-year-old Italian coach has surpassed expectations in Lombardy, leading the club to their historic 20th Scudetto this season. Alongside this achievement, he has secured two Coppa Italia titles and three Supercoppa Italiana victories over the past three years.

Inter finds themselves in a transitional phase following the takeover by Oaktree, with Marotta now taking the helm as the club’s new president. Amidst this, the club is actively engaged in summer planning, including efforts to secure key players such as Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella with new contracts.

Reports from today’s Corriere dello Sport, on page 11, outline how Inzaghi’s representative, Tinti, is set to meet with Marotta in the coming hours to finalize the terms of a new multi-year contract. The proposed deal is expected to span three years, offering an annual salary of approximately €6.5 million net, plus additional incentives.

This fresh agreement will bind the Italian tactician to Inter until June 2027, potentially making him the second-longest-serving coach in the club’s history, following in the footsteps of Helenio Herrera.
