Alan Pardew has emerged as an early contender for the vacant manager’s position at Burnley. The Clarets have contacted the former West Ham, Newcastle, and Crystal Palace boss to succeed Vincent Kompany, who left for Bayern Munich. Pardew, 62, is eager to return to English football and faces the challenge of promoting Burnley back to the Premier League after their recent relegation.

With previous managerial stints at Southampton, Charlton, and West Bromwich Albion, Pardew brings extensive experience. He has also worked abroad with Den Haag, CSKA Sofia, and Aris Thessaloniki. Despite his diverse background, he has not coached in England since his dismissal from West Brom in April 2018.Pardew’s notable achievements include securing Premier League promotions with Reading and West Ham and leading Newcastle to a fifth-place finish in the 2011/12 season.

Additionally, he guided Newcastle to the Europa League quarter-finals and suffered FA Cup final defeats with West Ham and Crystal Palace. Alongside Pardew, former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and his coaching sidekick Ashley Cole have been linked with the Burnley job. As Burnley continues their search, Pardew stands out for his seasoned expertise and readiness to embrace the challenge.
