Aleksandar Mitrovic had given Al-Hilal the lead in the seventh minute. The game proceeded to extra time and then penalties.
Ruben Neves of Al-Hilal missed the first penalty, followed by a miss from Al-Nassr’s Alex Telles. Mitrovic and Ronaldo converted their penalties, keeping the scores level. Saud Abdulhamid missed for Al-Hilal, but Ali Alhassan failed to capitalize for Al-Nassr.
