Daichi Kamada has had a change of heart regarding a potential extension with Lazio and is now set to depart on a free transfer, with Crystal Palace emerging as a possible destination.
The 27-year-old Japanese midfielder, who joined Lazio last summer after a failed move to Milan, signed a one-year contract with an option for an additional three years, with a deadline of May 30th.
Initially poised to renew his contract with Lazio after a period of success under Igor Tudor, Kamada and his representatives recently visited Rome to discuss terms with president Claudio Lotito.
However, according to Calciomercato.com, Kamada has decided against extending his stay at Lazio, opting instead to depart on a free transfer this summer.
Crystal Palace, led by his former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner, are keenly interested in securing his services and have prepared a contract valued at approximately €5 million net per season.
