The midfielder, now seeking the fifth club of his career, added, “It’s time to say goodbye. I will always carry you in my heart and hope to return someday.” Lamela joined Spurs from Roma in 2013, making 257 appearances and scoring 37 goals. He left North London with three runners-up medals: two in the League Cup and one in the Champions League.
