Diletta Leotta, a prominent TV presenter on DAZN in Italy and partner of Newcastle goalkeeper Loris Karius, has revealed the sexist abuse she has endured throughout her career. In an interview with F Magazine, Diletta recounted the hurtful comments she faced early on, including being told, “You’re only here because of your t**s.”

This harsh criticism came when she was just 20 years old, causing her significant distress. She explained, “At home that evening, I let out a liberating cry. That brought out the lion in me, and I learned a lot. I got my degree in law so that no one could ever say something like that to me again.” Leotta and Karius, who began dating in 2022 after meeting in Paris, welcomed their daughter Aria in August 2023. Despite Karius’s tenure at Newcastle since 2022, he is expected to leave this summer.

Leotta, living in Milan with their daughter, has expressed a desire for Karius to join a Serie A team for the convenience of being closer to family. She told Tuttosport, “Players who come to Serie A often fall in love with Italy and stay forever. I think that could happen to him too.” Leotta hopes Karius can find a team in Italy, citing the inconvenience of Newcastle’s location and lack of direct flights.
