Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly in transfer talks with San Diego FC, a club that has never played a game. The MLS’s 30th franchise, San Diego FC, was created last year and will start competing in 2025. The club, based in southern California, will play at the 35,000-seater Snapdragon Stadium.

San Diego FC currently has three players: American goalie Duran Feree, Danish midfielder Jeppe Tverskov, and Danish striker Marcus Ingvartsen, all on loan until the team joins the MLS next year. Ambitiously, the club aims to sign high-profile players, including De Bruyne and Sergio Ramos. According to The Athletic, De Bruyne’s camp has held talks with San Diego FC, although a move this summer seems unlikely. De Bruyne, whose £400,000-a-week contract with Manchester City expires in 2025, remains a key player under Pep Guardiola. However, the midfielder is open to moving to San Diego eventually.

De Bruyne isn’t the only City player with an uncertain future. Bernardo Silva is a target for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, while goalkeeper Ederson is reportedly being considered by Saudi Arabian teams. Additionally, Joao Cancelo and Jack Grealish could also face exits in a potential major shake-up at Manchester City.
