Brighton has announced that head coach Roberto De Zerbi will leave the club following their final Premier League game against Manchester United. De Zerbi, who joined Brighton in September 2022, has been linked with top European clubs such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Chairman Tony Bloom stated, “Roberto has given us two excellent seasons, leading us to our first-ever European campaign. We have mutually agreed to end his contract to plan for next season and allow Roberto time to consider his future.” De Zerbi expressed his sadness at leaving but pride in his achievements, saying, “I am very proud of what my players and staff have achieved. Leaving now provides me with time to take a break before deciding on my future plans.”

Seven staff members will also depart, while coaches Andrew Crofts and Jack Stern will remain. Brighton is considering various candidates for the head coach position, including former boss Graham Potter and Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna.
