Footage shared on social media showed Rashford engaging in a heated exchange with a supporter. He was seen looking toward the stands before approaching the edge of the pitch. Fans in the video could be heard shouting, “Rashford, don’t listen to him.” Rashford, who was named on the bench by Erik ten Hag, made his return to the squad after being sidelined with a knock from the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry on April 21. The 26-year-old has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 40 appearances this season but has only found the net twice in his last 10 Premier League matches.
Despite being linked with a move away from the club, Rashford is reportedly prepared to resist any attempts to sell him. Manchester United are said to be willing to consider offers over £80 million for the forward, who has four years remaining on his contract. Rashford played a seven-minute cameo at the end of United’s 3-2 win over Newcastle.
