Rodrigo Bentancur did not take being substituted against Manchester City well, launching a WWE-style assault on his chair on the bench. The Tottenham midfielder, 26, struggled to keep his balance during the outburst, narrowly avoiding a fall.  City had just taken the lead through Erling Haaland after 51 minutes when Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou decided to make a tactical change, replacing Bentancur with Dejan Kulusevski to add more attacking flair.

Interestingly, the biggest winner might be the sponsor, INEOS, as their chair held up under Bentancur’s assault better than the Spurs’ defense. Despite City’s lead, Tottenham fans applauded, as it hindered Arsenal’s title hopes. The drama continued as City goalkeeper Ederson was subbed off in tears after a collision with Son Heung-min, who was booked for the incident. Stefan Ortega, replacing Ederson, kept a clean sheet with two crucial saves.

Haaland scored again, securing City’s top position before their final game against West Ham. Social media buzzed with reactions to Bentancur’s outburst. One fan commented, “Bro nearly fell and still carried on.” Another added, “Purely for the cameras. He had a stinker and was throwing his toys out of the pram. Grow up mate, kids are watching.” Bentancur and the chair emerged unscathed, but the incident added to a dramatic match.
