Italian club Napoli is reportedly interested in signing Tottenham’s center-half Radu Dragusin, who has struggled for playing time since his £21.5 million move in the January transfer window. Napoli had previously targeted the 22-year-old before his move to Spurs and are now looking to reignite their interest.
Despite Napoli’s interest, Spurs are reluctant to sell Dragusin at the moment and would demand a fee of around £40 million. Dragusin, concerned about his lack of playing time at Spurs, is attracted to the idea of joining Napoli as they could offer him regular first-team football. Since joining Spurs, Dragusin has only played 244 minutes, with other defenders like Mickey van de Ven and Cristian Romero ahead of him in the pecking order. Dragusin’s agent, Florin Manea, has criticized Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou for not utilizing Dragusin more, suggesting that the Romanian could solve their defensive issues.
Manea emphasized Dragusin’s ability in the air and suggested that playing with three at the back could provide more defensive stability for the Spurs. He also warned that if Dragusin continues to be overlooked, they may have to consider other options, hinting at a potential move away from Spurs for the defender.
