Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace’s young midfielder, Adam Wharton, after missing out on him in January when Palace secured his services from Blackburn Rovers for £18 million. Wharton, a 20-year-old midfield maestro, has impressed experts with his performances and is believed to have the potential to play in the Champions League shortly.

Despite the hefty price tag of £60 million, Bayern is keen to secure Wharton’s services, recognizing him as a promising talent. Wharton’s recent standout performances, including a brilliant display in a 4-0 win over Manchester United, have further increased his appeal. Palace, however, may face pressure to retain Wharton, especially with other key players like Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze linked with moves away.

The club’s director of football, Dougie Freedman, is also reportedly wanted by Newcastle United, which could add to the uncertainty surrounding Palace’s squad. In addition to Wharton, Bayern are also considering Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, 22, but would need to find £50 million to secure his signature. Meanwhile, Palace center-back Kofi Balmer, 23, looks set to join St Mirren in a £75,000 deal, according to reports.

Here is the highlight video of Adam Wharton’s skills and goals.
