Darwin Nunez’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has reportedly leaked Liverpool’s asking price as he pushes for a move to Barcelona. Reports suggest that Mendes believes Barcelona could revive Nunez’s form and is pushing for a deal to happen. Nunez fueled speculation by deleting all Liverpool-related posts from his Instagram and was spotted in Barcelona during a day off from training.

Mendes reportedly informed Barcelona that Liverpool would accept an offer of £73 million for Nunez. Barcelona, facing financial constraints, believe they can afford this fee if they offload high-earning players in the summer. Robert Lewandowski, currently the highest earner at Barcelona, is likely to be sacrificed as part of the club’s planned rebuild.

Nunez, on the other hand, is among the best-paid players at Liverpool but earns considerably less than Lewandowski, making him an affordable target for Barcelona. Nunez joined Liverpool for £85 million from Benfica two years ago and has since made 95 appearances, scoring 33 goals. However, his form has dipped this season, with only 11 goals in 34 Premier League appearances and a notable lack of clinical finishing.
