Manchester City winger Jack Grealish has been given five points on his driving license after admitting to speeding. The 28-year-old was caught driving at 44mph in a 30mph zone in Wythall, near Birmingham, last July in his Range Rover. A charge of failing to provide information to police about the driver’s identity was withdrawn.

Grealish did not appear before magistrates in Worcester but was fined £666 and ordered to pay £376 in costs. His lawyer stated that he could afford to pay the fine. This is not the first time Grealish has faced driving-related issues. In March 2020, he was filmed staggering away from his Range Rover in Birmingham, wearing odd slippers and a blue hoodie, after attending a lockdown party. He then collided with a Mercedes and a Citroen. For this incident, he received a nine-month driving ban and was fined £82,000.

Additionally, in October of the same year, Grealish was caught driving at speeds of up to 98mph on the M43 while late for training. He pleaded guilty to two charges of careless driving and was only allowed back on the road in September 2022. Before these incidents, Grealish had already accumulated six points on his license from a previous speeding offense in 2018 on the M42 motorway.
