Liverpool signs son of former Premier League Footballer, Keyrol Figueroa

Liverpool has signed 17-year-old Keyrol Figueroa, son of former Premier League footballer Maynor Figueroa. Keyrol joined Liverpool's academy in 2018 and scored 90 goals in a single season. He has signed his first professional deal with the club, indicating a bright future. Keyrol has represented the USA at the youth level and has shown promise in 23 under-18 Premier League appearances.

Liverpool has secured the services of Keyrol Figueroa, the 17-year-old son of former Premier League footballer Maynor Figueroa. Keyrol, a striker, joined Liverpool’s academy from FC Dallas in 2018 as an under-14 player and quickly made an impact, scoring an impressive 90 goals in a single season for the U14s before progressing to the U18 side.

On Monday, Liverpool announced that Keyrol has signed his first professional deal with the club, indicating a bright future ahead. His father, Maynor Figueroa, enjoyed a successful career in the Premier League, making 214 appearances for Wigan and Hull. Maynor also achieved success on the international stage, earning 181 caps for Honduras and scoring five goals, including a memorable strike from his half against Stoke in 2009.

Despite being born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Keyrol has represented the USA at the youth level, scoring nine goals in 14 appearances for the U17 national team. He also featured in last year’s under-17 World Cup in Indonesia, helping the USA reach the round of 16. With seven goals and five assists in 23 under-18 Premier League appearances, Keyrol has shown promise and could be a name to watch for Liverpool’s first team in the coming years.
