Roma has penned a letter to Lega Serie A, expressing their desire to postpone their upcoming fixture against Atalanta due to their packed May schedule. The Giallorossi are facing a challenging situation in the final weeks of the season, with four demanding matches scheduled within a span of 10 days in early May. These include both legs of the Europa League semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen, as well as league encounters with Juventus and Atalanta.

Earlier this month, Roma voiced their dissatisfaction with the decision to reschedule their postponed match with Udinese to April 25, citing frustration with the congested fixture list as they aim to overcome the formidable Bayer Leverkusen, led by Xabi Alonso.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, Roma has once again reached out to Lega Serie A, seeking a rescheduling of their match against Atalanta on May 12th to the following day. This request stems from both clubs’ involvement in the Europa League semi-finals. However, the likelihood of this request being granted is slim, especially considering that the Coppa Italia final between Atalanta and Juventus is slated for May 15th at the Stadio Olimpico.

Additionally, Roma has requested a postponement of the Coppa Italia final, pointing out that Juventus is not participating in other cup competitions.
