It looks bad.” Thankfully, the club later confirmed that both players were discharged from the hospital. As a precaution, Couto and Juanpe are expected to miss Girona’s upcoming match against Las Palmas to comply with concussion protocols. Couto, 21, has been a key player for Girona this season, contributing nine assists in 35 appearances.
On loan from Manchester City, Couto is also a Brazil international with three caps to his name. Juanpe, on the other hand, has been a stalwart at Girona since 2016, making 244 appearances for the club. He has also captained the side on several occasions, showcasing his importance to the team.
