Crysencio Summerville scored twice as Leeds United bounced back into the top two with a thrilling victory against Middlesbrough. The win comes after Leeds had failed to score in their last two matches, raising concerns among fans about a late-season collapse. Daniel Farke’s side produced a scintillating performance, with Patrick Bamford and Wilfried Gnonto also finding the net.

Leeds now sit two points ahead of Ipswich Town in the table and have a chance to extend their lead further when they face Queens Park Rangers on Friday. Summerville’s second-half beauty secured the crucial points for Leeds, with Gnonto and Georgiono Rutter also causing havoc for Boro. Despite an early setback when Emmanuel Latte Lath opened the scoring for Boro, Leeds responded strongly. Bamford and Summerville converted opportunities to put Leeds ahead before Finna Azaz equalized for Boro. Leeds regained the lead through Gnonto, although his goal appeared offside.

Summerville sealed the victory with a superb individual effort, collecting the ball on the left side of the box, evading two challenges, and scoring his 19th goal of the season. The win keeps Leeds in contention for promotion, while Boro’s hopes of reaching the playoffs took a hit with the defeat.
