Fresh from savoring a historic Treble triumph in 2023, the Manchester City forward has been delivering top-notch performances this season. Foden has tallied 22 goals and 10 assists across all competitions, positioning himself as a key figure in Gareth Southgate’s plans for Euro 2024.

Similar sentiments echo for Real Madrid’s standout, Bellingham, who has also reached the 20-goal milestone in his inaugural season at Santiago Bernabeu. He is swiftly emerging as a pivotal figure for both club and country. Foden, speaking to the Daily Mail, lauded his talented international teammate, stating, “I have never seen anyone so mature for his age. I feel he’s got a gift from God with his physique. We really need him at his best.”

Bellingham will celebrate his 21st birthday during Euro 2024, the same age Foden was when he contributed to England’s journey to the final three years ago. Unfortunately, Foden missed the opportunity to face Italy in the Wembley final due to an untimely injury. Reflecting on that setback, the highly-regarded playmaker added, “That was just crazy. I was walking in after training the day before the final. Someone just passed me the ball. I tried to control it by putting one leg behind the other, just a trick, and my standing leg just, well I heard a crack and I knew straight away. I couldn’t walk. It was devastating. I remember Gareth speaking to me and I just couldn’t help crying. I couldn’t even get any words out. I was so upset. I have learned a lesson from that, you know. I try and not do so much after training now. The coaches will probably tell you I am lying. But that really woke me up.”

England finds themselves in Group C this summer alongside Slovenia, Denmark, and Serbia. Foden aims to play a significant role in another pursuit of continental glory, having earned 33 caps and scored four senior goals for his country as a City academy graduate.
