The 24-year-old was discharged the following Monday to recuperate in Rome. De Rossi provided an update on Ndicka’s condition, expressing relief that the issue wasn’t as severe as initially feared. He stated, “He’s doing well. A collapsed lung is a painful thing but luckily, if we can say that, he’s not suffering from what we feared when he collapsed on the pitch.”
De Rossi also addressed the decision to abandon the game, explaining it was a necessary and unanimous choice, especially given indications from an on-site electrocardiogram that suggested a heart attack.
