The Egyptian marked his 23rd goal of the season across all competitions for Liverpool on Sunday during their 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Despite approaching his 32nd birthday, he continues to stand out as one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers. However, former Manchester United midfielder Ince suggests there’s room for improvement in the technical aspect of his game, which he believes prevents Salah from being classified as world-class.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Ince remarked, “I think his record speaks for itself. Is he a world-class player? Technically, I wouldn’t say so. I think sometimes when he cuts in on his left foot, putting balls into the box, they are not great. But as far as a world-class player scoring goals and making things happen, I think yes.”

Since his arrival from Roma in 2017, Salah’s journey at Liverpool has been nothing short of remarkable. His debut season saw him net an impressive 32 goals in 36 Premier League appearances, showcasing his exceptional abilities. Throughout his tenure at Anfield, Salah has maintained his goal-scoring prowess, accumulating a total of 209 goals from 340 appearances. This places him third in Liverpool’s all-time highest goal-scorers list, surpassing esteemed figures like Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler, and Kenny Dalglish.

As Liverpool engages in a tight title race with Arsenal and Manchester City, Salah remains a crucial figure at Anfield, especially as the season enters its final stretch. With 17 goals in 25 league appearances this campaign, he aims to bolster his tally as Liverpool prepares to face Crystal Palace on Sunday. However, before the clash with the Eagles, Salah must rally his team to victory over Atalanta in the Europa League quarterfinal first leg on Thursday evening.
