According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, as reported by ChelsTransfer on X, the head coach is set to remain at Stamford Bridge until at least the conclusion of the season, despite Chelsea’s struggles with form this campaign. Currently, they sit in 11th place in the Premier League following a disappointing 2-2 draw against 10-man Burnley.

Earlier reports suggested that certain Chelsea players had demanded Mauricio Pochettino’s departure, supposedly urging the ownership to part ways with the former Tottenham manager after a lackluster home draw against relegation-threatened Burnley, who played with 10 men for more than 45 minutes. However, Ornstein asserts that there has been no rebellion within the Chelsea dressing room.

While Chelsea’s results have not significantly improved compared to last season when they went through three different managers (Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, and Frank Lampard), Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have opted for a more cautious approach regarding Pochettino’s future. Ornstein’s report suggests that Chelsea will delay making a decision on the Argentine’s tenure until the end of the season.

With Pochettino being given a chance to redeem himself, there is a possibility that he could retain his position at Stamford Bridge if his team manages to secure victory in the FA Cup. The Blues are already in the semi-finals of the competition and are scheduled to face Manchester City on April 20th.
