Germany has announced the conclusion of its 70-year partnership with Adidas, revealing that Nike will be supplying the national team’s kits from 2027 onwards in a deal running until 2034. The decision marks the end of their long-standing association with Adidas, a partnership that has played a significant role in German football.

DFB president Bernd Neuendorf expressed excitement about the new partnership with Nike, emphasizing the trust placed in them. However, he also acknowledged the importance of their longstanding relationship with Adidas, which has contributed greatly to German football over the decades. The news of the switch to Nike has sparked mixed reactions from fans on social media, with some expressing disappointment and others describing it as shocking or embarrassing.

Adidas has already unveiled Germany’s kits for Euro 2024, featuring a traditional white home shirt with nods to the German flag on the sleeves, and a vibrant pink and purple away jersey. Adidas will continue to produce Germany’s kit for the 2026 World Cup and the 2025 Women’s Euros before Nike takes over in 2027.
