Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice, 25, was recently pictured attending a secret meeting with West Ham co-owner Albert “Tripp” Smith. The meeting took place at the luxury Oswald’s Members Club in London’s Mayfair district. Rice, who joined Arsenal last summer in a £105 million transfer from West Ham, was seen in a black blazer and trousers, while Smith wore a blue suit with a white shirt and purple tie.

Smith, a senior managing director at The Blackstone Group, bought a 10 percent stake in West Ham in 2017 and is a director on the club’s board. Oswald’s Members Club, frequented by high-profile individuals such as Princess Anne and the Beckham family, was established in 2017 by Robin Birley.

Rice has been in fine form for Arsenal this season and was recently called up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad for friendlies against Brazil and Belgium. Arsenal’s Champions League quarter-final draw against Bayern Munich has sparked controversy, with fans speculating that the draw was “fixed.”
