Last night, a contingent of Brighton supporters playfully teased Roma icon Francesco Totti with a lighthearted banner unveiled at the Amex Stadium. The banner humorously proclaimed, ‘He enjoys pineapple on pizza.’

At the Amex Stadium, Brighton fans greeted Roma with a banner written in Italian, which read: ‘Totti enjoys pineapple on pizza.’ The image swiftly gained traction on social media platforms across Italy.

The display of the banner by Brighton fans could be interpreted as a response to an offensive sign brandished by Roma supporters directed at the late Queen Elizabeth II during the previous leg in Rome. Following this incident, Brighton had urged UEFA to initiate an investigation.

Although Totti is no longer actively involved with Roma, he remains an enduring symbol of the club’s illustrious history.
