Brentford manager Thomas Frank expressed his frustration with the refereeing decisions after Arsenal’s late victory, insisting that Arsenal’s Kai Havertz should have been sent off earlier in the match. Frank and fans alike were outraged at Havertz’s apparent dive in the box, which went unpunished. Havertz, who later scored the winning goal, avoided a second yellow card despite appearing to dive when challenged by Brentford’s Nathan Collins.

Frank argued that the linesman should have seen the dive and Havertz should have been sent off before his decisive goal. Frank told Sky Sports, “I don’t think Havertz should be on the pitch when he scored the goal. For me, it was a clear dive when it was a penalty shout. If you see it back slowly, it’s clear. Maybe it’s difficult for the ref, but the linesman should have seen it, in my opinion.”

Fans also criticized the referee, Rob Jones, for the decision, with many believing that Havertz should have been shown a red card for the dive. Some labeled it a “terrible decision” and questioned why Havertz was not penalized for what they considered a clear dive.
