Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the former midfielder for Chelsea, has emerged as Milan’s standout player in 2024, finding the net seven times in 12 matches since January.

The English midfielder has proven his worth at the Stadio Meazza, justifying his €18m price tag with a total of eight goals and two assists in 31 appearances across various competitions this season.

What’s particularly noteworthy is Loftus-Cheek’s impressive form since the beginning of 2024, where he has scored seven goals, arguably establishing himself as Milan’s top performer in the new year.

Despite only scoring once in his first 18 appearances earlier in the campaign, starting 14 matches across all competitions, the 28-year-old has been exceptional since January 2024, securing seven goals in 12 appearances, 11 of which he started.

During Thursday’s first leg of the Europa League Round of 16, Loftus-Cheek contributed another goal as Milan triumphed 4-2 over Slavia Praha at San Siro.

RLC currently leads Milan’s scoring charts in 2024, surpassing Olivier Giroud, another former Chelsea player who has found the net five times since January.

Loftus-Cheek’s contract at San Siro extends until June 2027.
