Crystal Palace is bracing themselves for the possible departure of defender Marc Guehi in the upcoming summer transfer window. The 23-year-old has been a standout performer since joining Palace from Chelsea in 2021 for £18 million, making 108 appearances for the club. Guehi’s impressive performances have caught the attention of several Premier League giants, including Manchester United and Liverpool.

Tottenham and Arsenal have also shown interest in the defender in the past. As a result, Palace has started to compile a list of potential replacements for Guehi, indicating that they are preparing for his potential exit. With only two years remaining on his current contract, this summer may be Palace’s last opportunity to secure a significant transfer fee for Guehi.

The defender is valued at more than the club-record fee of £50 million that Manchester United paid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka in 2019. Despite currently recovering from a knee injury, Guehi is expected to be fit for England’s Euro 2024 campaign. Palace’s new manager, Oliver Glasner, faces a challenging task in holding onto Guehi, as well as other key players like Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, this summer.
