Mbappe is poised to depart Paris after completing seven seasons in the French capital. This departure might initially leave Luis Enrique’s team seemingly short-handed for the upcoming 2024-25 season. However, the manager remains adamant that PSG will evolve positively even in Mbappe’s absence.

During a recent press conference, Luis Enrique shared insights into how the Ligue 1 leaders will fare once Mbappe departs: “I know that if everything goes well, next season, we will have a better team from all perspectives: offensively, defensively, tactically. I have no doubt about it.”

Mbappe formally notified PSG of his intention to depart the club in early February and has reportedly reached a verbal agreement for a long-term contract with a Madrid-based team. PSG has already been associated with several potential replacements, including Rafael Leao, Victor Osimhen, and Marcus Rashford.

Despite Mbappe’s impending departure, he is expected to continue playing a pivotal role for PSG. He is likely to feature in the starting lineup as PSG faces Monaco on Friday and then shifts focus to the Champions League last 16 encounter against Real Sociedad.
