Mido, a former Egypt national team player and striker for West Ham and Tottenham, has asserted on social media that Mohamed Salah will depart Liverpool after the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, affirming that Salah has already finalized a contract with a team in the Saudi Pro League.

Addressing his 5.6 million followers on X platform, the 41-year-old esteemed figure in Premier League circles revealed the surprising news about Salah’s purported move, stating, “Mohamed Salah will be in the Saudi League next season. Contracts have been signed.”

Last summer, Saudi powerhouse Al-Ittifaq demonstrated genuine interest in Salah and presented a substantial £150 million offer. However, Liverpool declined to release their prized forward at that time. Recent indications suggest that Middle Eastern clubs will once again pursue several Premier League stars, including Salah, when the transfer window reopens.

Salah, aged 31, remains under contract with Liverpool until 2025. With head coach Jurgen Klopp poised to depart Liverpool after this season, the Egyptian may be tempted to follow his mentor out of Anfield.
