According to The Sun, there are talks of Barkley potentially joining United, a move that may surprise many considering his previous success under new owner Ratcliffe at Nice. During his tenure with the French team, Ratcliffe reportedly encouraged manager Lucien Favre to give Barkley more playing time in Ligue 1.

United is reportedly seeking to bolster their midfield, with plans to offload Casemiro and send Sofyan Amrabat back to Fiorentina. Barkley emerges as a viable option, especially considering Luton’s potential need to sell players if they face relegation.
