According to Bild, Jose Mourinho is allegedly coveting the Bayern Munich position and has even begun studying German.

The former Chelsea manager, who was fired by AS Roma last month, is reportedly eager to take Thomas Tuchel’s place should he be let go after a humiliating 3-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen. With Die Roten already five points down in the title race and Xabi Alonso’s team not showing any signs of slowing down, there’s a good probability Tuchel will pay a heavy price in the workplace.

If Bayern decides to make a change, they won’t be short of contenders, and Mourinho, 61, wants to make sure he’ll be first in line if the chips fall, according to the Mirror. Mourinho has never held managerial position in Germany, but he has worked in Portugal, England, Italy, and Spain.

It coincides with allegations of a “verbal agreement” between Al-Shabab, a Saudi Pro League team, and Mourinho denied any veracity to the rumors to the Spanish publication Marca.

His previous statement on Egyptian TV, “I will go to Saudi Arabia in some free time, but I am convinced that I will work there,” was a hint that he could like to work as a coach there someday. Although I am not quite sure when, I am very certain. Although the future is unpredictable, I will undoubtedly work in Saudi Arabia.

Mourinho took Roma to the Europa League final, where they were defeated by Sevilla on penalties, and the team won the Conference League during his two and a half years there. After Roma’s 3-1 loss to Milan last month, which dropped them to ninth place in the Serie A standings, he was fired.

In the past, Mourinho held managerial positions at Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Porto, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester United.
