Akram Afif’s penalty kick in the first half gave the Gulf State—who had previously won the Asia Cup in 2019—a 1-0 lead. After putting his penalty kick into the lower left corner, the 27-year-old wheeled off in jubilation.

But instead of celebrating with his teammates as he usually would have, Afif chose to unleash his inner Dynamo. Afif knelt to retrieve a card from his socks and then proceeded to walk towards the camera, holding a card in his right hand.

Then he gave the card two quick shakes before quickly shifting it to his right and back again. Additionally, the card changed throughout the motion from having a picture on it to having a S printed in black writing on a white background. The co-commentator dubbed Afif the “trickster” in this unique celebration.

Additionally, fans adored the trick.

“That was so cool hahahaha one of the best celebrations I’ve seen in a long time,” one fan commented in response on social media.

“Everything about that celebration is hilarious and magical,” remarked the second. The most amazing party ever.”

A third comment regarding its potential use in the future stated: “This has a lot of meme potential. Replace the ‘S’ for an ‘L, please.”

Somebody else commented, “That’s some cold celebration.”

A fifth person said, “Better than Siuu.”

In order to secure a HAT-TRICK of penalties in a 3-1 victory and keep their title, Afif would go on to score twice more from the spot.

To get to the final, Qatar defeated Iran, Palestine, and Uzbekistan.

Jordan, meanwhile, stunned South Korea in the semifinals after eliminating Iraq and Tajikistan in the elimination stages.
