Reports from France indicate that Rafael Leao’s Milan contract includes a €175 million release clause, which remains valid for just a brief 10-day period during the summer, coinciding with PSG’s purported interest in the player.

Leao recently finalized the new contract, which incorporates a release clause, although the specifics have remained somewhat unclear until now.

According to Footmercato, the clause is valued at €175 million and can be settled through multiple instalments, potentially facilitating its activation by interested parties.

Nevertheless, it has been revealed that there are stringent time constraints associated with the clause, with new details emerging. Specifically, it can only be activated between July 5th and July 15th each year until the contract expires in June 2028.

This narrow 10-day window implies that any offers made outside of this period will necessitate direct negotiations with Milan.

Amidst reports of Kylian Mbappé’s anticipated move to Real Madrid as a free agent, Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly gearing up to approach Leao as his replacement.

Additionally, in the Premier League, both Chelsea and Liverpool have been rumored as potential suitors for Leao.
