After securing the loan signing of Andrea Belotti from Roma, Fiorentina is actively pursuing the acquisition of Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa.
Following the addition of a new center forward, Fiorentina is also focused on bolstering Vincenzo Italiano’s squad with an attacking winger for the latter part of the season.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Fiorentina has tabled a €22 million offer to secure the services of Genoa’s standout player Gudmundsson. However, Genoa is adamant about not parting ways with the 26-year-old for anything less than €25 million, as per Romano. Sky Sport Italia suggests that Genoa’s valuation of their star player stands even higher at €30 million.
Genoa is in no hurry to offload Gudmundsson, their top scorer for the current season, especially after sending Radu Dragusin to Tottenham at the onset of the January transfer window.
Gudmundsson recently extended his contract until 2027 and has attracted interest from West Ham as well.
Sky Sport Italia reported in January that Genoa rebuffed an approach from West Ham the previous month, with plans to consider selling the striker at the end of the season.
