As per journalist Philipp Kessler, the current champions in both Europe and England are poised to outshine renowned clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain in securing the services of 14-year-old American prodigy Cavan Sullivan from the Philadelphia Union.

Kessler further discloses that Sullivan’s agent, Wasserman, has already communicated to other clubs that the competition for his transfer is concluded, affirming that Sullivan is set to join Manchester City. Born in September 2009, the young midfielder cannot make the move to England until he reaches the age of 16. Meanwhile, it is anticipated that the City Football Group will temporarily loan him to the Belgian club Lommel SK.

Coming from a family with a strong sporting background, Sullivan is half-German from his mother’s side. His father, Brendan, played in the A-League, while his mother served as the captain of her university soccer team. Adding to the family’s soccer legacy, Cavan’s elder brother, Quinn, not only plays for The Union but also represents the US U20 side.

Following a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory against Newcastle United last week, the Cityzens will now take a well-deserved winter break. Their return to action is scheduled for January 26, where they will face Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup fourth round.
