The Napoli footballer, who recently prolonged his tenure with the club until 2026, has expressed his desire to compete in the Premier League in the future. The Nigerian international has been strongly linked to several top European clubs, including English giants Chelsea and Arsenal, over the past few months.

In an interview with Sky Sports, the striker conveyed his satisfaction with the club president and emphasized the positive relationship they share. He highlighted the president’s support both on and off the pitch since joining the club in 2020. The player underscored the importance of maintaining a strong connection with the president and his family, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support.

When asked about his aspirations to play in the Premier League, the Nigerian responded affirmatively, stating that it is a definite goal for the future. However, he mentioned having other plans in his career at the moment and indicated a willingness to pursue the move when the time is right.

Despite the reported €130 million (£112m/$141m) release clause in the 25-year-old’s new contract, making him a valuable asset in the transfer market, Chelsea could still be interested in securing his services given his expressed eagerness to play in England. Real Madrid is also monitoring the forward, considering a shift in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe.

Presently, Osimhen remains focused on his national team commitments, participating in the AFCON tournament in the Ivory Coast. The Super Eagles commenced their journey with a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea and are set to face the hosts in their next match on Thursday.
