Associated with Adidas since his Birmingham breakthrough, Bellingham actively contributed to creating the latest Predator boots, ensuring they met his preferences and performance needs. The chief designer at Adidas football, Sam Handy, highlighted Bellingham’s deep involvement in the development process, stating, “He is very integrated into our creation process.”
The newly launched Predator 24 retains the traditional black, white, and red color scheme but introduces a fluorescent yellow touch for better visibility on TV. Notably, the Predator 24 marks the return of the old-school foldover tongue, last seen in 2002, influenced by player feedback, including Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Handy emphasized the significance of the foldover tongue, stating, “It’s a super iconic detail. It works. It delivers ball control.”
Bellingham, having recently moved to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund, has made a remarkable impact with 17 goals in 24 appearances. Handy expressed admiration for Bellingham’s unique playing style, stating, “He represents that [swagger, flair, confidence]. It’s a joy to watch him play.” As the Predator boots have a storied history, Handy expressed his desire for another iconic moment, saying, “If I could magic these things up, it would be Jude scoring the winning goal of Euro 2024 for England with a banging, iconic, Predator free-kick.”
