Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is taking unconventional measures to recover from his foot injury. The star striker, sidelined since December 6, trained before the FA Cup win over Huddersfield but experienced discomfort. Doctors advised a week of rest, prompting Haaland to share a photo on social media wearing a breathing aid with the caption “think outside the box.”
The image revealed his bare-chested appearance and the breathing aid designed to encourage nose breathing for improved sleep quality. Pep Guardiola, City’s manager, acknowledged the prolonged recovery, stating that Haaland’s bone injury required time. The striker’s absence has extended beyond expectations, and Guardiola hopes a warm-weather training camp in Abu Dhabi will expedite his return.
City coped well with injuries, according to Guardiola, who expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance in the face of challenges. Haaland, 23, missed eight matches, and even if he returns for the FA Cup clash with Tottenham, he would have been sidelined for nearly two months.
