Barcelona comfortably defeated Osasuna in the Supercopa semi-final on Thursday, securing a 2-0 win. This triumph sets the stage for a rematch of last year’s final, in which the Blaugrana overcame Los Blancos with a 3-1 victory.

Following the match, Xavi expressed confidence in his team’s ability to clinch their first piece of silverware this season, stating, “I think that in the league Clasico, we dominated most of the match. I can compare it to last season’s final. I think that we can dominate them and win.”

In their previous encounter, Madrid orchestrated a remarkable second-half comeback, with Jude Bellingham’s double leading to a 2-1 away triumph. Since then, Barcelona has faced challenges, currently trailing Los Blancos by seven points in the title race.

Barcelona is poised to face Madrid on Sunday evening, aiming to defend their Supercopa title. Subsequently, they are scheduled to travel to Unionistas for the Copa del Rey round of 16.
