The Danish player, Christian Eriksen has been sidelined for six weeks due to a knee injury but has been actively training with his teammates. Ahead of the upcoming Premier League match against West Ham on Saturday, it appears he’s primed for a return following Ten Hag’s announcement.

Ten Hag expressed satisfaction with Christian Eriksen’s return to the squad, highlighting some uncertainties due to recent illnesses among other players. “We also have doubts; we had some illness in the week, so we will have to see how they recover tomorrow,” Ten Hag stated during a press conference. “But one thing is sure, we will put a good line-up on the pitch and we have to win the game.”

Eriksen had been a consistent presence in Ten Hag’s team this season, participating in 11 Premier League games before his injury. He started in six of those matches and made substitute appearances in the remaining five. The 31-year-old’s comeback will alleviate concerns for Ten Hag, who has been grappling with recurring injuries in the squad. The absence of players like Casemiro, Mason Mount, Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, and Amad Diallo persists, with Diogo Dalot sidelined due to suspension.

Eriksen is expected to feature when United faces West Ham in London on Saturday, possibly as a substitute. The Red Devils haven’t secured a win in their last three matches and currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League, just one point ahead of their upcoming opponents.
