Jose Mourinho, the former manager of Manchester United and current head of Roma, has addressed accusations of bullying from a past player. Upon joining Man United in 2016, Mourinho clinched both the Carabao Cup and the Europa League during his tenure, yet he faced dismissal in December 2018 due to a string of poor performances.

Following his departure, Mourinho took the helm at Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Serie A’s Roma, where his animated touchline presence remains consistent. Recently, he joined John Obi Mikel’s ‘The Obi One Podcast’ to discuss his career, revealing an accusation of bullying during his time at United.

In an hour-long interview, Mourinho disclosed an incident where he was accused of bullying after substituting a player at half-time. He compared this event to a situation at Chelsea, recalling the time he replaced Nemanja Matic just 28 minutes after bringing him on. Mourinho explained this as part of coaching and strategic decision-making, emphasizing the necessity to make changes for victory, albeit reflecting on the differences in approaches from then to the present.

He highlighted the need for adaptation, even likening it to parenthood, suggesting that one must adjust their approach according to the changing world.
