An Aldershot Town player celebrated their FA Cup upset by performing an attention-grabbing dance move on all fours. Aldershot surprised English football by traveling to face League Two leaders Stockport County, with Oliver Scott securing victory in the 88th minute.

This underdog team initially drew 2-2 at home, earning a replay and eventually advancing to the third round. Amidst the jubilation and team celebrations for the cameras, Theo Widdrington stole the spotlight by dropping to his hands and knees and twerking.

Fans reacted humorously, with one jokingly mentioning paying the TV license fee for Widdrington’s dance on the BBC. Another fan expressed fondness for the team and their desire to see them return to the EFL.

Dance seems to be a family trait as Theo’s brother, Kai, participates in Strictly Come Dancing, while their father, Tommy, a former professional footballer, now manages Aldershot.

Reflecting on the game, Tommy emphasized the team’s resilience and refusal to give up, stating they always play until the final whistle, rejecting the term ‘non-league’ for their professional status.

Aldershot’s next challenge will be against Championship side West Bromwich Albion in the upcoming round.
