Football supporters celebrated a sense of justice when Bruno Fernandes had his penalty saved by Roberto Sanchez following a contentious VAR decision.

At Old Trafford, Manchester United received a penalty on Wednesday after Enzo Fernandes was judged to have fouled Antony. Antony had skillfully navigated into the penalty area and passed the ball to a teammate.

Moments after the pass, Fernandes made contact with Antony’s foot. Fans were outraged by the penalty decision and later felt vindicated when Fernandes failed to convert the spot-kick.

One fan remarked, “Bruno Fernandes hops like a kangaroo and plays it straight at Sanchez. Justice served,” another added, “Fernandes misses the penalty of course, probably justice because that was a soft penalty we were given!”

“That’s never a penalty, for every little bit of contact we just giving penalties now,” expressed a third disgruntled fan. Another angrily stated, “That is never a fucking penalty in a million years!”

United urgently needed the three points, with increasing pressure on Erik ten Hag’s position at the club. They took the lead through Scott McTominay in the 19th minute but were later equalized by Cole Palmer just before halftime, dampening their advantage.
