Although the charges were dismissed in February, his return to the United squad was not permitted. Greenwood’s contract with United runs until 2025.
With scouts from Valencia and Sociedad reportedly monitoring Greenwood’s performances, both La Liga clubs are considering a move for the talented player next summer. As of now, Sociedad leads the Champions League group standings with 10 points from four matches. Given his successful loan spell at Getafe, it appears increasingly unlikely that Greenwood will return to Manchester United, paving the way for a potential move to La Liga.
