Everton supporters made a resounding declaration to the Premier League: they refuse to go down without a fight.

Following the club’s 10-point deduction for violating Financial Fair Play regulations during the international break, fans believe Everton has been unfairly treated.

In response, Merseyside supporters orchestrated a bold statement during the highly anticipated clash between Liverpool and Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. A banner soared overhead, boldly stating: “PREMIER LEAGUE = CORRUPT,” accompanied by the hashtags “#UTFT” and “#EFC.”

Opting for the daytime match between Liverpool and City as the initial stage of their protest, fans plan further actions during Everton’s upcoming game against Manchester United, including a vocal demonstration at the 10th minute and a visual display using cards expressing their discontent.

Rumors suggest that Sky Sports might limit the crowd noise broadcast from inside Goodison Park during the televised match to mitigate the impact of the passionate chants aimed at the Premier League.

Although Sky Sports’ audio captured the sound of the plane organized by The 1878s supporters group flying over the Etihad, commentators Peter Drury and Gary Neville made no mention of the flyover.

Responding to Everton’s plummet to 19th place in the league standings due to the points deduction, Dave Kelly, chair of the Everton Fan Advisory Board, emphasized that this issue extends beyond the club itself. He conveyed, “That’s the message of the meeting – this isn’t an Everton Football Club issue – this is a football issue, because this concerns clubs across the Premier League, and all football clubs across the country.”

Kelly continued, emphasizing their determination to showcase their discontent globally during Sunday’s match at Goodison Park.

He stressed that this is just the beginning of a long campaign aimed at reforming football governance and ensuring fairness. The supporters vow to persist until the appeal against the penalty concludes and even beyond, rallying fans nationwide to push for genuine change and justice within the sport.

Amidst the unfolding protest, a first-half goal by Erling Haaland put City ahead 1-0, marking him as the quickest player to reach 50 Premier League goals. Trent Alexander-Arnold later secured an equalizer with just 10 minutes remaining in regular time.
